About Me

Welcome to Woman Seeking Makeup! I started this blog because I have a love of writing and a passion for all things beauty related. I liked reading beauty blogs and watching YouTube videos, but found I was having a hard time finding others like me who enjoyed a good drugstore deal but also had some higher end hints in their arsenal. I either came across professional makeup artists, girls using only products I can’t afford, or girls who used solely low end items. I’m not a professional makeup artist or esthetician, nor do I have more money in the bank than hairs on my head. I’m an average girl from the Midwest who hopes her posts will be just what other average girls are looking to read.

Now, here are my “vitals” so you can have some idea of where I’m coming from and what I’m working with…

Skin

Color: light with neutral undertones
Type: combination oily, slow to tan but also slow to burn
Main Concerns: redness, scarring, large pores, somewhat acne prone

Hair

Color: light brown/dark blonde with red undertones
Length: mid back
Texture: fine, thin, very soft (slippery silky)
Main Concerns: dry scalp, oily roots, volume, split ends, maintaining softness and shine

Please bear with me as I figure out WordPress and themes and posting schedules. My goal is to post two times each week although I’m sure many weeks will have a bonus third post as well.

You are so beautiful and I love your confidence to discuss your struggles with your skin. I know it is hard to have skin problems. I suffer from eczema and I feel like I have tried everything under the sun to help it. Even eczema creams irritate it. I wanted to ask you if you have any thoughts on what to help eczema on my face which is dry and itchy. Some make ups just cake in my very tired looking, dark under eyes. Is there a make up that you find covers up dark spots and make me not look so tired all of the time?

    • I dont have a lot of experience with eczema but I do know staying hydrated and using lots of moisture is key. Try mixing or layering your makeup with facial lotion. I like using Maybelline Fit Me concealer, and I’ve hears good things about MAC concealer too. Set lightly with powder to prevent creasing. Good luck, I hope that helped!
